Korean-born Australian fashion designer Yeojin Bae is a featured exhibitor at Blueprint Emporium 2010, as part of Asia Fashion Exchange 2010. Having graduated from Whitehouse School of Fashion in 1992, Yeojin worked as a senior designer for many Australian labels, including Saba and Charlie Brown and in New York with Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui. In late 2006, she unveiled her self-titled label and her capsule collection of dresses to an enviable list of stockists worldwide. In 2007, Yeojin was awarded the Tiffany & Co. Young Designer of the Year Award in Australia and Marie Claire One to Watch Award. Yeojin has been featured in Australian and UK Vogue, UK and Dubai Harper's Bazaar, US Elle and Russh. In March 2008, she opened her first retail venture, a lofty salon style showroom in Prahran, Melbourne. www.blueprint.sg

This year's AFCC includes a Publishers' Business Forum exploring ways for Asian publishers to enter the Australian market and vice versa, as well as presentations from nine Australian guest speakers: Lynette Thomas, specialist children’s bookseller, writer and editor; Dr Ken Spillman, editor, critic and author of 23 books; John Danalis, children’s book author, illustrator, designer and storyteller; Sally Heinrich, writer and illustrator; Paul Kooperman, TV script and screen writer and director of the Australian Poetry Centre; Christopher Cheng, author of nearly 30 titles - from picture books, non-fiction and historical fiction to a libretto for a musical and the story for an animation; Clive Newman, a book publisher with 30+ years experience in sales, marketing, distribution and foreign rights; Shane Davis, founder and CEO of Intrepica, an Australian company behind a revolutionary online program for teaching English literacy; and Sharon Flindell, CEO of writingWA, the peak body for the writing and publishing industry in Western Australia.

Presented by Australasian Arts Projects, The Utopia Story introduces the remarkable art and artists from the large indigenous community of Utopia in the Central Desert of Australia. The region has long been associated with some of Austraila's most exciting art. This exhibition is the first comprehensive showing in Singapore of Utopian work.

The work of Melbourne-based artists Mark Schaller and David Larwill is held in the British Museum, National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, and Heide Museum of Modern Art. Schaller paints naive, raw art, finding inspiration in the unconventional, whilst Larwill suggests a wide range of feelings, moods and expressions through vibrant colours and chaotic imagery.

Live Beekeeping Demonstrations

Some 60,000 live bees have been flown in especially for this exciting event. A professional beekeeper from Superbee Honeyworld will show shoppers how honey is produced, from the beehive to the jar, and how to handle bees safely.

Step into another world where fantasy comes alive through choreographed dance, film and music in these two films by Australian film director Richard James Allen. Allen approaches his work with contemporary aesthetics that complement today's digital multi-platforms. Thursday's Fictions depicts a world where people live only for a day. Thursday is running out of time, but she has a plan. She finds out she'll be reincarnated as Tuesday and packs all that she has created into a trunk in an effort to continue her work when returns. Down Time Jazz, a short film produced by Allen will also be shown in this screening, and there will be a post-screening Q&A session.
