INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS
The High Commission will establish a Selection Advisory Committee (SAC) to assess applications, conduct interviews, check referees reports and prepare a report for the delegate recommending the most suitable applicant.
Applicants are advised to pay close attention to the duty statement when preparing their application. Based on the information provided in the applications it receives, the SAC will shortlist applicants for interview.
Applications should include:
- a one page summary of personal details, including nationality, residency/employment status in Singapore and contact details for at least two referees who can comment on work performance, and copies of any recent referees’ reports if available
- • a one page curriculum vitae
- a succinct statement of claims addressing the selection criteria no longer than three pages
Applications should be preferably submitted electronically, but can also be submitted by post.

Applications must be received at the Australian High Commission by 4.00 pm on Friday 12 September 2008. Late applications may not be considered.

The selection process usually takes several weeks and all applicants will be advised of the final outcome.
If another similar position becomes vacant within the next 9-12 months the High Commission may consider for employment an applicant who rated highly for this position.
