Renewing your driver's licence
The transport authorities in each state issue driver's licences to residents of that state. Each has its own procedures and requirements for renewing a licence.
This cannot be done at the Australian High Commission, which is an office of the Federal Government.
Please contact the relevant state transport department to request that a renewal photo kit to be sent to you if your permanent residence is in that state, and your overseas posting temporary.
